S.O.S - Save our Shaina

Not just surviving - second line leaders.

Welcome to our front porch — where chronic illness meets that New Orleans don’t-quit spirit. We’re David and Shaina: childhood sweethearts, married magic-makers, Hurricane Katrina survivors, and now full-time advocates, truth-tellers, and Level 99 bosses in the chronic illness game.

Shaina’s living with ME/cfs, EDS, and CCI — a trio that would knock most folks flat. But she’s still here, still bouncing (literally), and still rewriting the rules. David? He’s the narrator, the spreadsheet slinger, and her ride-or-die (with snacks and receipts).

This site is built on grit, grace, and gumbo filled love. So pull up a chair, get comfy, and see how we’re turning struggle into strategy and pain into purpose — all with that signature New Orleans flair.

Two people smiling in front of a historical sign on a building wall. The Black man on the left wears a gray polo shirt, and the Creole woman on the right wears a red polo shirt.
